Bloom Anyway

If you know me, you know I love the deck.

It’s my little sanctuary, where I go to slow down, sip my coffee, and take in the world around me. From that very spot, I watched this one tree in my backyard earlier this spring and I kept thinking “it’s teaching me a lesson”.

One single tree, standing tall in a sea of branches that hadn’t caught up yet.

It was blooming. Fully, boldly, unapologetically blooming, while every tree around it was still bare. Still waiting. Still dormant.

And you know what? It didn’t seem to care. It didn’t ask for permission. It didn’t wait for the others to give it the okay. It just bloomed.

This tree reminded me of something really important: You don’t have to wait for the world to catch up before you begin to grow. You don’t need the perfect conditions or the approval of those around you. You don’t have to explain your timing.

If you’re ready, bloom anyway.

Even if people think it’s too early. Even if they look at you funny or question your momentum. Even if they’re still in their winter.

Your season doesn’t have to match theirs. Your growth is yours. So if you're feeling the nudge, the push, the stretch toward becoming something brighter, fuller, more you, trust that. Lean in.

Bloom when you’re ready.

This little tree did. And it was the most radiant thing out there.
